Bruno Guimarães told Newcastle directly in July that he wants to leave, per the BBC. Arsenal is his reported destination, with a fee of up to £80m discussed. No bid has been tabled and Arsenal had not made contact as of 9 July. The 28-year-old was in Brazil, absent from Newcastle's flight to Spain — but booked to join the squad on 2 August.
