Woods reclaims 1500m T54 gold after chaotic first race is wiped from records

Scotland's Melanie Woods won the restaged women's 1500m T54 final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on 31 July, reclaiming gold after the original race's results were struck following a first-lap collision that caused four crashes, three overturned wheelchairs and a disqualification. Woods had initially won the Day 6 race in a Games-record 3:33.39; that time will not carry forward as the official mark.
