
Asian confederation raises World Cup boycott threat as Infantino's position reportedly under threat
The AFC warned that "the real possibility of a FIFA World Cup boycott has entered public discourse" after joining Uefa and Concacaf against FIFA's plan to bring private investment into flagship tournaments. The Guardian reports Gianni Infantino's presidency is under threat for the first time since 2016. The three confederations represent 143 of FIFA's 211 member associations.
