Sony will not reverse PlayStation disc discontinuation despite backlash, CFO says

Sony CFO Lin Tao told a Q&A after Sony's Q1 2026 earnings call on 31 July 2026 that the company heard community criticism over its plan to stop producing physical PlayStation game discs by January 2028 but will not change course.
