HBO Max Lands 'Crystal Lake' for EMEA, Peacock Keeps US

Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired A24's "Crystal Lake" — a "Friday the 13th" prequel series — for HBO Max across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, excluding the UK and Ireland, per The Hollywood Reporter. Peacock retains US rights and premieres the series in October 2025. HBO Max's EMEA rollout follows later in 2025. Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees.
