Newport name Mullins as boss after Fuchs exit despite survival

Newport County have appointed Hayden Mullins as head coach, their third managerial change in as many summers. He replaces Fuchs, who left on the eve of pre-season despite guiding the club to League Two survival after arriving in November 2025 with Newport four points adrift of safety. Mullins, formerly Fulham's under-21 boss, is the fourth permanent appointment under owner Huw Jenkins since January 2024.
