Locarno 2026 retrospective curator links White House rhetoric to the Hollywood blacklist

Curator Ehsan Khoshbakht told The Hollywood Reporter that current White House press releases use phrases "right out of the McCarthy playbook," citing "the radical Left" and "radical propaganda." His Locarno retrospective 'Red & Black – Hollywood Left and the Blacklist' runs 5–15 August 2026, with more than 50 films on the blacklist that drove hundreds of film-makers from work.
