Collingwood cuts ties with Norm Smith Medalist Bobby Hill

Collingwood has formally parted ways with 2023 Norm Smith Medalist Bobby Hill, cutting short a contract due to expire at the end of 2030. Football manager Charlie Gardiner confirmed the split on July 31. Hill, 26, said in a club statement: "I'm going to take a break from football to keep working on myself and regain my passion for the game." He had not played at AFL level for almost a year.
