Roosters score 82 in NRL's biggest tally in 91 years — against their own record

Sydney Roosters beat North Queensland Cowboys 82-12 in Townsville on 30 July 2026, the highest winning score in the NRL since the Roosters' own 87-7 over Canterbury in 1935. The club now holds both ends of that 91-year record. They led 48-6 at half-time, equalling the most first-half points in premiership history, and joined Penrith on 34 points atop the NRL table.
