Asper Foundation ends funding of Canadian Museum for Human Rights over Nakba exhibition
The Asper Foundation, which donated over C$23 million (US$16.3 million) to build the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, has withdrawn all financial support. Trustee Gail Asper told CBC Radio she 'feels betrayed by the curators and the leadership' over the exhibition Palestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Present, which she says omits critical context and 'fans flames of antisemitism.' A museum spokesperson said no Asper funding has been received since 2023.
