HBO orders five-episode limited series "The Trial of Louise Woodward" starring Meghann Fahy

HBO has ordered a five-episode limited series based on the 1997 case of a British au pair accused of killing a baby in her care. Meghann Fahy stars. Matthew Barry created and showruns; Susanne Bier directs all five episodes. Production begins August 2026; release is expected in 2027. Francesca Orsi, HBO's head of drama, confirmed the order.
