Southern Brave defend 128 to claim first win of The Hundred 2026

Southern Brave defended 128-8 to beat Birmingham Phoenix by 12 runs at the Utilita Bowl on 24 July — their first win of The Hundred's 2026 season. Luke Wood took three wickets in the final set, including two catches and a run-out assist from captain Adil Rashid, as Phoenix fell short on 116-9. The win lifted Brave off the bottom into seventh on net run-rate.
