AWS revenue surges 37% to $42.2 billion, fastest growth in four years

AWS posted $42.2 billion in Q2 2026 revenue, up 37% year-over-year — its fastest quarterly growth in more than four years, Reuters reported. Analysts had expected roughly 31%. Amazon's microchip business and AWS AI operation each reached a $25 billion annual run rate. Amazon is moving to rent AI computing capacity to Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic.
