Up to 3,000 Migrants Enter Spain's Ceuta in One Day, Doubling 2026 Arrivals

Between 2,000 and 3,000 migrants — mostly Moroccan — crossed into Spain's North African exclave of Ceuta on July 30, 2026, entering via the border breakwater without authorization. The surge roughly doubled Ceuta's yearly arrivals. Spain deployed the military after the regional government requested army support and a border closure.
