Insurance may not cover Prince Harry and co-claimants' legal costs after ANL defeat

After losing Lawrence v Associated Newspapers [2026] EWHC 1637 (KB), the seven claimants hold an insurance policy for ANL's £34.5 million legal costs, but coverage may fall short. If the final assessment exceeds the policy limit, Prince Harry, Sir Elton John and co-claimants face personal liability for the remainder. Mr Justice Nicklin will set the interim payment next month.
