Sony Pictures has set Josh Boone to direct its adaptation of Lynn Painter's bestselling YA novel 'Fake Skating', Deadline reported. Boone directed 'The Fault in Our Stars' and recently 'Regretting You'. Sony greenlit the film with no cast attached. A release date is claimed for 16 July 2027 — a summer-corridor slot.
