NewFest–Netflix Name Five 2026 New Voices Filmmaker Grant Recipients

NewFest and Netflix named Georgia Krause, Star Amerasu, Deborah Devyn Chuang, and duo AJ Dubler and Carmela Murphy as 2026 New Voices Filmmaker Grant recipients, per Deadline. Drawn from over 500 applicants, each receives $25,000 and individually arranged mentorship. The grant, now in its fifth year, supports emerging LGBTQ+ filmmakers. Their work screens at the New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival in October.
