Children of Blood and Bone author calls Paramount adaptation 'the worst thing I have ever had to live through'

Tomi Adeyemi, co-writer of the screenplay for Paramount's Children of Blood and Bone, said in a TikTok on 30 July 2026 that the adaptation was 'the worst thing I have ever had to live through.' She left the set 'hyperventilating and sobbing' and later suffered 'severe somatic pain and so many panic attacks' (The Guardian). The film's first trailer had launched three days earlier.
