Paramount+ picks up Clueless sequel after Peacock passes — bringing the IP home

Peacock passed on the Clueless sequel in April 2026 after landing it in April 2025. Paramount+ then greenlit the limited series starring Alicia Silverstone, from CBS Studios — the first series order from that studio since Skydance acquired Paramount in August 2025. The original 1995 film was released by Paramount Pictures. Filming is slated for Los Angeles in 2027.
