Kate O'Connor wins Commonwealth Games heptathlon gold in Glasgow

Northern Ireland's Kate O'Connor won the heptathlon at the 2026 Commonwealth Games on July 30 in Glasgow. The heptathlon — seven events across two days, from 100m hurdles to 800m — crowns the most versatile athlete in the stadium. O'Connor topped the field at Scotstoun on day seven. A men's decathlon was contested the same day.
