A24 takes domestic, Focus takes international on Sonoya Mizuno's directorial debut 'Stages'

A24 will distribute Stages in the U.S. and Canada while Focus releases it overseas via Universal Pictures International, per Deadline. The split gives Sonoya Mizuno's ballet-world drama two specialty distributors rather than one worldwide studio. Alex Garland produces; the cast includes Julie Delpy, Emma D'Arcy, Kathryn Hunter, Takehiro Hira and Kate Dickie. No release date is set.
