Soundgarden mixing final studio album with Chris Cornell vocals

Drummer Matt Cameron told the 'Let There Be Talk' podcast, as Billboard reported on 30 July 2026, that Soundgarden's surviving members are mixing a final eight-track LP featuring Chris Cornell's vocals. Joe Barresi is handling the mix. All eight songs carry Cornell writing credits. No release date has been set; Cameron said the band is "taking it one step at a time."
