Clooneys evacuate French estate, tell mayor: "We do not know whether our house will survive"

George and Amal Clooney evacuated their Domaine du Canadel estate in Brignoles as a wildfire burned roughly 130 hectares and displaced about 600 residents, Variety reported. In a letter to Mayor Didier Brémond, first reported by Le Figaro, the couple — French citizens since December 2025 — pledged to help rebuild the community.
