The Pianist musical to use Szpilman's own compositions, performed live by actor-musicians

A stage musical of Władysław Szpilman's wartime memoir The Pianist, written and directed by Thom Southerland, premieres at Mayflower Studios, Southampton, 8–12 September 2026, then transfers to Park Theatre, London, 15 October–28 November. The cast of actor-musicians perform Szpilman's own original compositions live on stage, with new arrangements by Simon Lee. Daniel Krikler leads as Szpilman.
