All seven BTS members withdraw from 2027 Grammys, pulling album ARIRANG from contention

On July 29, all seven BTS members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — posted identical statements to their Instagram accounts announcing they will not submit music to the 2027 Grammy Awards, keeping comeback album ARIRANG out of contention. The ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2027. The members wrote: "We hope music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language." Reuters reported the group cited the Recording Academy's new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, unveiled June 16, as their reason. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said he was "saddened" but respected the decision.
