Infantino's Asian power base revolts over FIFA's Thrive Capital rights sale

AFC president Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa accused FIFA of failing to consult its 47 member associations over a proposed deal selling 20% of worldwide commercial rights to Joshua Kushner's Thrive Capital. The AFC had previously pledged to vote for Infantino en bloc. UEFA and Concacaf oppose the sale; Africa and South America back it. Asia's 47 votes now decide whether the deal — and Infantino's coalition — holds.
