Armani biopic series in development: a $10 billion empire built without selling a stake

Lux Vide and Fremantle are developing an untitled Giorgio Armani biopic series with archive access from the Armani fashion house, Variety reports. Director Ferzan Ozpetek, who knew Armani personally, co-writes with Francesco Arlanch. Armani died in September 2025 at 91, having built a $10 billion empire without selling a stake or going public — starting from a sold Volkswagen.
