
J&J Bets $785 Million on In Vivo CAR-T — Before Any Clinical Data
Johnson & Johnson will pay $785 million upfront, including a $465 million equity stake, to partner with Sail Biomedicines on in vivo CAR-T therapies — treatments that reprogram immune cells inside the body rather than in a lab. No in vivo CAR-T has shown durable results in peer-reviewed data. The deal leans entirely on preclinical platform findings.
