Paramount takes 'Final Girl Support Group' from HBO Max series to feature film; Theron exits

Paramount is developing a feature adaptation of Grady Hendrix's bestselling novel "The Final Girl Support Group," Deadline reported on 29 July 2026. Christopher Landon will write and direct. The project was previously set up at HBO Max as a series with Charlize Theron producing; Theron is no longer attached. Andy and Barbara Muschietti produce through Double Dream.
