Bono, Springsteen, Sheeran and Cat Power pay tribute to Glen Hansard after death at 56

Glen Hansard, the Oscar-winning singer-songwriter from the Frames and Swell Season, died on 29 July 2026 at 56 in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Dublin. Bono posted to U2's Instagram calling him 'a voice of the streets' and 'a choir of angels in one man.' Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran and Cat Power also paid tribute.
