Mercuriadis returns with Hipgnosis Artist Partnerships after fund wind-down

Merck Mercuriadis, founder and former CEO of Hipgnosis, has launched Hipgnosis Artist Partnerships, a venture structured to bring artists and managers in as co-owners — a departure from the catalogue-buying fund model that shareholders voted to wind down. The Financial Times reported the new group retains the Hipgnosis name. Mercuriadis is set to keynote Music Tectonics 2026 in Santa Monica on October 28, Billboard reported.
