Barbados bids farewell to Sir Garfield Sobers with state funeral at Kensington Oval

Barbados held a state funeral for Sir Garfield Sobers at Kensington Oval on 29 July. His coffin, draped in the Barbados flag, travelled by gun carriage through a guard of honour of raised cricket bats. Prime Minister Mia Mottley, Rihanna, Clive Lloyd and Brian Lara attended. Sobers died on 17 July aged 89. Lloyd called him "the greatest all-round cricketer the world has ever known."
