Trace Adkins details 1994 point-blank shooting by second wife on Theo Von podcast

Country singer Trace Adkins told Theo Von's This Past Weekend podcast, posted 28 July, that his second wife Julie Curtis shot him at point-blank range during a 1994 argument. He survived because the bullet lacked velocity to expand on impact. The wound required emergency surgery and, six months later, open heart surgery to repair his heart's septum. Adkins, 64, did not press charges.
