Stephen Fleming expected to be named England's next Test coach

Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming, 53, is expected to be appointed England men's Test coach, succeeding Brendon McCullum, who was sacked on 13 July 2026 after four years. Fleming left IPL side Chennai Super Kings earlier in July. If confirmed, he will help Rob Key and selector Marcus North choose a new Test captain after Ben Stokes' retirement. England want the post filled before their Pakistan series.
