Afroman sues Ohio deputy who raided his home and lost defamation case

Rapper Afroman (Joseph Edgar Foreman) filed a civil suit in Adams County, Ohio against former deputy Brian K. Newland, a copy of which Rolling Stone obtained. Newland helped raid Afroman's home in 2022 — no drugs or charges resulted — then joined a defamation suit Afroman defeated in March 2026. The new filing seeks at least $150,000 in damages.
