Nas to receive BMI Icon Award at 2026 R&B/Hip-Hop Awards

BMI announced on 29 July that Nas will receive the BMI Icon Award at the 2026 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on 26 August in Los Angeles. The private ceremony resumes the tradition after 2025's edition was skipped; Babyface was the last recipient, in 2024. Past honourees include James Brown, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne.
