Essex appoint Rachel Lewis as chair, making three counties now led by women
Rachel Lewis has been appointed chair of Essex County Cricket Club, the first woman to hold the role in the club's history. She joins Dame Sarah Storey at Lancashire and Tracey Orr at Warwickshire, meaning three of England's 18 first-class counties now have women in the top governance post. Lewis previously chaired Essex Cricket in the Community, the club's grassroots arm. Essex have had five chairs in five years.
