Shane McRae Joins Dennis Quaid in AMC's NASCAR Drama 'Thunder Road'

Shane McRae has been cast as a series regular in AMC's stock car racing drama Thunder Road, Variety reported on 29 July 2026. He plays Scooter Jakes, crew chief in the #28 car, alongside Dennis Quaid as racing legend Duane Whitlock. AMC Studios and NASCAR Studios co-produce. The series was greenlit in April 2026 and is planned for a 2027 launch on AMC and AMC+.
