Mauricio Pochettino and US Soccer are in the final stages of a contract extension through the 2030 World Cup, per The Guardian, The Athletic, and Bleacher Report. Appointed in September 2024, Pochettino guided the USMNT to its best-ever World Cup group-stage finish before a 4–1 last-16 loss to Belgium. Both sides want the deal done before September friendlies.
