Classicist Emily Wilson disavows Nolan's The Odyssey script one day before Greek PM's congratulatory call

Classicist Emily Wilson, whose 2017 translation of The Odyssey Nolan cited as a film influence, wrote in the London Review of Books that she "would be ashamed to have written any part of the script" of his $250 million adaptation. The review landed on July 26, 2026 — one day before Greek PM Mitsotakis video-called Nolan to congratulate him, per Deadline.
