BTS opt out of Grammy submissions as new Asian pop category debuts

All seven BTS members posted identical Instagram Stories on 29 July 2026 stating they have "decided not to submit for Grammy consideration this year." The 69th Grammys, set for 7 February 2027, introduce the Best Asian Pop Music Performance category — covering K-pop, J-pop and C-pop. The four-time nominees, never a winner, may be absent from its inaugural ballot.
