BTS Withdraw Album 'Arirang' From 2027 Grammys After New Asian Pop Category Language Rule

All seven BTS members announced on July 29, 2026 they will not submit music from album 'Arirang' for the 2027 Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy's new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category requires "meaningful use" of an Asian language — excluding their English-language Hot 100 No. 1 single "Swim" and barring any track from also entering Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The members cited music being "divided by region or language."
