Pathé takes 50% of Benelux distributor The Searchers, entering distribution in Belgium and the Netherlands

Pathé has acquired a 50% stake in Benelux distributor The Searchers, Deadline reported on 29 July 2026. The deal gives Pathé, chaired by Jérôme Seydoux, its first distribution foothold in Belgium and the Netherlands, where it previously operated only cinemas — roughly 40 sites with close to 300 screens. The Searchers will handle Pathé titles starting with a two-part Charles de Gaulle project. Pathé already distributes in France and Switzerland.
