Two Far Cry games now in development at Ubisoft-Tencent's Vantage Studios

Two unannounced Far Cry projects are in active development at Vantage Studios, the Ubisoft-Tencent subsidiary launched in October 2025. Codenamed Kodiak, an open-world FPS focused on player-driven stories, is in early stages, replacing cancelled project Maverick. Codenamed Blackbird — Far Cry 7 — is a single-player game with multiplayer, back on track after internal delays. Neither is officially announced. The last series entry, Far Cry 6, launched in 2021.
