Greece resists fast-tracking Sam Konstas and Australian heritage players for T20 World Cup qualifiers

Senior figures in Greece's cricket federation told BBC Sport they will exercise caution over integrating Australian players with Greek heritage — a category including teenage Test batter Sam Konstas. Around two-thirds of Greece's squad for August's European qualifier in Finland were born in Greece. The federation is keen to avoid Italy's 2024 T20 World Cup model, where no squad member was born in Italy.
