Diane von Furstenberg to receive 2026 Couture Council Award from The Museum at FIT

The Museum at FIT will honour Diane von Furstenberg with its 2026 Couture Council Award for what the council called her "transformational influence on women's fashion." Von Furstenberg built her brand on the wrap dress, a 1970s commercial phenomenon she framed as a tool of female independence. The award is to be presented on 22 October at Gotham Hall in New York.
