Star Wars VFX workers vote to join IATSE

Visual effects workers on Star Wars productions including 'The Mandalorian & Grogu,' 'Ahsoka,' and 'Starfighter' have voted overwhelmingly to join IATSE, per Variety (28 July 2026). IATSE calls them "on-set" VFX workers — those working directly with production rather than at a separate house. The new unit now enters good-faith negotiations for its first contract.
