Tech giants reclassified as value stocks in Russell 1000 reshuffle

At the June 2026 Russell reconstitution, Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft shifted into value territory, per ETF Database. That mechanically trims their weight in the Russell 1000 Growth Index and boosts it in the Value Index. Passive growth funds must sell; passive value funds must buy — regardless of fundamentals.
