Australia's classification rules, effective 22 September 2024, apply age-restricted ratings to games with simulated gambling or loot boxes. Rather than accept adults-only ratings that limit sales, some publishers have disabled the affected features in the Australian market. GTA Online's Diamond Casino gambling is the most visible case so far, surfaced by player reports on Reddit on 28 July 2026.
