HBO Max launches TikTok-style vertical video feed "Shorts" in iOS test

HBO Max is testing a vertical, scrollable feed called HBO Max Shorts with select iOS users in the U.S., The Hollywood Reporter reported on 28 July 2026. The feed surfaces clips trimmed from existing library programming — no new content — and recommends them based on watch history. Users can jump to the full title or save it. HBO Max plans to expand to more devices and markets.
